Richard Edwards

Richard A. Edwards received his accounting degree from Wayne State University. He earned an MBA from the University of Michigan. He was licensed as a certified public accountant in 1969. Prior to founding the firm in 1972, he was an audit specialist with Arthur Young & Company.
 
Richard’s areas of practice are accounting, auditing, tax, estate planning, business valuations and management consulting.  He is also partner in charge of several of the firm’s audit engagements. 
 
Richard has been involved with The Old Newsboys Goodfellows for over 30 years, along with other charities. His interests include tennis.

Jeffrey Ellis

Jeffrey B. Ellis joined Edwards, Ellis, Stanley, Armstrong, Bowren & Company, P.C. in 1992 as Manager of the Tax Department. He received his Bachelors in Accounting in 1981 from Michigan State University and his Masters in Taxation in 1988 from Walsh College. He was licensed as a certified public accountant in 1984.
 
Jeff is the partner in charge of the tax department. He has prepared numerous appraisals of closely-held businesses in connection with purchases, sales, preparing buy/sell agreements, estate tax returns and court testimony.
 
Jeff’s interests include golf, cycling and competitive power lifting, in which he recently won a gold medal in the weightlifting competition with the Michigan Senior Olympics.

Art Stanley

Arthur L. Stanley received his accounting degree from Wayne State University. He joined the firm in 1978 and was licensed as a certified public accountant in 1982. 

Arthur’s areas of practice include accounting, auditing, tax, business valuations and management consulting for various non-profit, government and for-profit organizations. He is also partner in charge of many of the firm’s audit engagements.
 
Arthur is a member of various professional and veterans organizations including the American Institute of CPAs, the Michigan Association of CPAs, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Vietnam Veterans of America.

Eric Bowren

Eric Bowren joined Edwards, Ellis, Stanley, Armstrong, Bowren & Company, P.C. in 1992 and became a partner in 2007.

He specializes in audits and attestation engagements and manages the payroll processing arm of the practice.

Eric obtained his Bachelors in Accounting from Central Michigan University in 1990 and his CPA license in 1994. Eric’s interests include traveling and boating.
